Fragments of Freddie Mercury - Living On My Own

Описание

A tribute to Freddie Mercury and his fun side despite that he felt very alone sometimes (quote: "I don't have any real friends...I don't think I do").
It's been hard to pick clips - among thousands - but I had to choose among them - to get the get the right "Freddie spirit"...but what do I know. It's just a feeling.
So here you are. Sad lyrics - happy footages.

There haven't been anyone until now who could remotely do what he and Queen did at the stage. You did it well!

I don't own any of these clips - I just composed them together - including the music.
I therefore have no rights over them.

Queen - the old days

Queen - the old days "These are the days of our lives "

A tribute to Queen and their over 20 years together. It's been hard to pick pictures - among thousands - but I had to choose some in HQ (as possible) - and some rare ones, to make some diversity. I've also chosen primarily older pictures. There haven't been anyone until now who could remotely do what Queen did at the stage. You did it well! I don't own any of these pictures - I just composed them together - including the music. I therefore have no rights over them. Feel free to share this video, that would just be an honor.

When Freddie Mercury Met Kenny Everett - Part 1 (1/6)

When Freddie Mercury Met Kenny Everett - Part 1 (1/6)

Channel 4 TV Documentary about the friendship between Freddie Mercury and Kenny Everett from their meeting in 1974. "The gist of the programme - and it made a truly fascinating story - was that Kenny Everett (a disc jockey who may not be remembered by younger readers) met Freddie Mercury of Queen and became close friends. Both were gay men living with women; Everett was even married. However, their friendship led to drugs and alcohol-fuelled indiscriminate sex with strangers, which may sound like a quiet night in for Angus Deayton, but led to them both dying of Aids and the loss of their considerable talents." 10 Bohemian Rhapsody Deleted Scenes That Could Have Made The Movie Better

10 Bohemian Rhapsody Deleted Scenes That Could Have Made The Movie Better

Bohemian Rhapsody left out some key scenes that could have brought the movie to the next level! Subscribe to our channel: http://goo.gl/ho3Hg6 Queen is one of the most legendary bands in the history of rock and roll. ‘We Will Rock You,’ ‘We Are the Champions,’ ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ - even if you wouldn’t call yourself a Queen fan, you know exactly what these songs are. They’ve become ingrained in our lives. It was only a matter of time before someone decided to tell the story of this amazing band. Bohemian Rhapsody finally gives fans what they want and, thanks to an incredible performance by Rami Malek as Freddie Mercury, it’s a big box office hit. Like any film, Bohemian Rhapsody left its fair share on the cutting room floor. Some great moments from the band’s history didn’t even make it past the screenwriting process. For instance, there’s no indication that Freddie Mercury had been a lover of music from a very young age. Not only that, by the age of seven he was taking piano lessons and by age twelve had even formed a band with his classmates. Queen’s legendary Live Aid performance does indeed make an appearance in Bohemian Rhapsody, but with the caveat of one song being cut out. Even little moments such as Mercury creating the Queen Crest or how he came up with one of the band’s best tunes ‘Crazy Little Thing Called Love,’ ended up on the cutting room floor. Bohemian Rhapsody may still be a good film, but we feel by including a couple of these deleted scenes, it could have been even better. Let’s explore some of the moments cut out from Bohemian Rhapsody and determine which ones should have stayed. Featuring: Entry 1 - FREDDIE’S CHILDHOOD Entry 2 - LIVE AID Entry 3 - CRAZY LITTLE THING CALLED TUB Entry 4 - QUEEN CREST Entry 5 - ‘39 IN JAPAN Entry 6 - JOHN DEACON Entry 7 - FREDDIE AND MARY Entry 8 - NIGHTCLUBBING Entry 9 - BANDMATES Entry 10 - PG-13 RATING Check out these other awesome videos! 8 Things Bohemian Rhapsody Got Wrong About Freddie Mercury https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lWHXwd4fOjk Amazing Facts You Didn't Know About Stan Lee's Marvel Cameos https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ALIvrsJVSFs Our Social Media: https://twitter.com/screenrant https://www.facebook.com/ScreenRant https://plus.google.com/+ScreenRant Our Website http://screenrant.com/

The 1990 awards ceremony saw the last public appearance of Queen frontman Freddie Mercury. Queen appeared at the ceremony to receive the Brit Award for Outstanding Contribution to British Music. Mercury (who had been suffering from AIDS since 1987 but hadnt disclosed it to the public) did not make a speech, as Brian May did the talking on behalf of the other members but his gaunt appearance was noticeable

FREDDIE MERCURY AND PAUL PRENTER

FREDDIE MERCURY AND PAUL PRENTER

Who was Paul Prenter? Prenter was a radio DJ from Belfast, Northern Ireland who eventually met and became involved — both personally and professionally — with Freddie Mercury. Prenter first met Mercury at a bar in 1975, according to The Belfast Telegraph, and then became his manager in 1977. At some point during this time, Prenter and Mercury had a sexual relationship — which is something Prenter later allegedly used to blackmail Mercury, who wasn't technically out of the closet at the time. Their business relationship was thought to be largely positive for about the first five years of Prenter working for Mercury, but things started to head south in 1982, according to Metro UK. Prenter is not known to have gotten along well with any of Queen's other members, and their fractured relationship reportedly came to a head with the release of the band's 1982 album Hot Space. According to Metro UK, band members Brian May and Roger Taylor disliked the record's sound and blamed Prenter's influence for it coming out the way it did. Still, Prenter remained in Mercury's employ for several more years. In the film Bohemian Rhapsody (2018), Mercury finally fires Prenter in 1985, with the main reason being that the manager failed to inform Mercury about the opportunity for Queen to perform at the now-iconic Live Aid concert. In retaliation, the jilted Prenter then gives a television interview where he outs Mercury. In reality, Prenter was fired the following year, after the Live Aid concert, according to the Belfast Telegraph. As for Prenter's most well-known "villainous" moment, he didn't actually give a TV interview outing Mercury. Instead, he sold a story to The Sun tabloid in 1987 where he revealed Mercury's sexuality, and also outed the singer's relationship with Jim Hutton, much to Mercury's chagrin, according to Slate. So the movie mixes up some facts regarding Prenter, possibly making him out to be more of a villain than he was in real life. But unfortunately for him, he won't be able to tell his side of the story. That's because Paul Prenter died in 1991 due to complications from AIDS, per The Belfast Telegraph. Coincidentally, that's the same year the disease took the life of Mercury. #Queen #Mercury #Prenter

When Freddie Mercury Went Out in Public

When Freddie Mercury Went Out in Public

Freddie Mercury is best known as one of the rock world's most versatile and engaging performers and for his mock operatic masterpiece, "Bohemian Rhapsody." Singer-songwriter Freddie Mercury was born Farrokh Bulsara on September 5, 1946, in Zanzibar, Tanzania. He studied piano in boarding school in India and befriended numerous musicians at London's Ealing College of Art. The music of Mercury's band, Queen, reached the top of U.S. and British charts. Mercury died of AIDS-related bronchial pneumonia on November 24, 1991, at age 45. In addition to his talents as a singer and songwriter, Mercury was also a skilled showman. He knew how to entertain audiences and how to connect with them. He liked to wear costumes — often featuring skintight spandex — and strutted around the stage, encouraging fans to join in the fun. Artistic in nature, Mercury was also actively involved in designing the art for many of the group's albums. Offstage, Mercury was open about his bisexuality, but he kept his relationships private. He also lived a lavish lifestyle. He loved champagne and liked to collect art, once spending more than $400,000 on a set of hand-painted china. Always one for a party, Mercury threw himself elaborate celebrations; for one particular birthday he flew a group of friends to the island of Ibiza. The occasion was marked by fireworks and flamenco dancing. On November 23, 1991, Mercury released a statement: "I wish to confirm that I have been tested HIV-positive and have AIDS. I felt it correct to keep this information private to date to protect the privacy of those around me. However, the time has come now for my friends and fans around the world to know the truth and I hope that everyone will join with my doctors and all those worldwide in the fight against this terrible disease." The next day, he died from AIDS-related bronchial pneumonia at his London mansion. Mercury was only 45 years old. Bohemian Rhapsody (2018 biographical film about the British rock band Queen) has grossed over $401 million worldwide on a production budget of about $50 million. It is the highest-grossing musical biographical film of all time. The film received mixed reviews from critics; its portrayals of Mercury's life and sexuality and of the other band members were criticised, but Rami Malek's performance and the music sequences received praise. Several historical inaccuracies were also highlighted. Queen's Greatest Hits (released worldwide on 26 October 1981) was an instant success, peaking at number one on the UK Albums Chart for four weeks. It has spent 833 weeks in the UK Charts, and is the best-selling album of all time in the UK, selling over six million copies. It is certified eight times platinum in the United States, and is Queen's most commercially successful album worldwide with over 25 million copies sold, making it one of the best-selling albums of all time. Radiohead guitarist Ed O'Brien hailed the UK edition of Greatest Hits as "impeccable" and "absolutely genius", while British journalist Brian Viner called it the greatest album of all time. 18 CANDID PHOTOS OF FREDDIE MERCURY WITH HIS BOYFRIEND JIM HUTTON IN THE LATE 1980S

18 CANDID PHOTOS OF FREDDIE MERCURY WITH HIS BOYFRIEND JIM HUTTON IN THE LATE 1980S

18 Candid Photographs of Freddie Mercury With His Boyfriend Jim Hutton in the Late 1980s: Freddie Mercury met Jim Hutton at a club in 1984 when he offered to buy Jim a drink, and he politely turned him down. Jim didn’t recognize Freddie but a few months later while at a restaurant his friend told him: “Hey, Freddie Mercury is behind you.” Jim this time accepted Mercury’s drink and the two talked for a while, but nothing happened for another year. About eighteen months later, the two happened to meet again at the same club. Freddie once again bought Jim a drink and this time they got together. Jim ended up moving in the Garden Lodge with Freddie about two years later. When Freddie was diagnosed with AIDS in 1987, he offered Jim an exit on their relationship. He told Jim he would understand if he left. In a Freddie Mercury documentary, Jim recalls telling him, “I love you, Freddie - I’m not going anywhere.” And he didn’t; Jim stayed with Freddie until he died. He nursed him, cared for him, and was there when he took his last breath. Upon his death, Freddie left Jim £500,000 as well as a plot of land at Rutland Terrace, Carlow where he built a house. Jim Hutton died in 2010 from a form of lung cancer. He had then been living with HIV for over 20 years. Labels: 1980s, famous people, life, love, portraits
