Queen - Live at LIVE AID 1985/07/13

Queen - Live at LIVE AID 1985/07/13

This is the absolute ULTIMATE experience of Queen's set at LIVE AID, this is the best video mixed to the absolutely superior stereo radio broadcast. This vastly superior audio mix takes a huge dump on all of the official mixes. Best viewed in 1080p. ENJOY! ***MAKE SURE TO READ THE DESCRIPTION*** 00:36 - Bohemian Rhapsody 02:42 - Radio Ga Ga 06:53 - Ay Oh! 07:34 - Hammer To Fall 12:08 - Crazy Little Thing Called Love 16:03 - We Will Rock You 17:18 - We Are The Champions 21:12 - Is This The World We Created...? Short song analysis: - "Bohemian Rhapsody": Although it's a short medley version, it's one of the best performances of the ballad section, with Freddie nailing the Bb4s with the correct studio phrasing (for the first time ever!). - "Radio Ga Ga": Although it's missing one chorus, this is one of - if not the best - the best versions ever, Freddie nails all the Bb4s and sounds very clean! Spike Edney's Roland Jupiter 8 also really shines through on this mix, compared to the DVD releases! - "Audience Improv": A great improv, Freddie sounds strong and confident. You gotta love when he sustains that A4 for 4 seconds! - "Hammer To Fall": Despite missing a verse and a chorus, it's a strong version (possibly the best ever). Freddie sings the song amazingly, and even ad-libs a C#5 and a C5! Also notice how heavy Brian's guitar sounds compared to the thin DVD mixes - it roars! - "Crazy Little Thing Called Love": A great version, the crowd loves the song, the jam is great as well! Only downside to this is the slight feedback issues. - "We Will Rock You": Although cut down to the 1st verse and chorus, Freddie sounds strong. He nails the A4, and the solo from Dr. May is brilliant! - "We Are the Champions": Perhaps the high-light of the performance - Freddie is very daring on this version, he sustains the pre-chorus Bb4s, nails the 1st C5, belts great A4s, but most importantly: He nails the chorus Bb4s, in all 3 choruses! This is the only time he has ever done so! It has to be said though, the last one sounds a bit rough, but that's a side effect of belting high notes for the past 18 minutes, with nodules AND laryngitis! - "Is This The World We Created... ?": Freddie and Brian perform a beautiful version of this, and it is one of the best versions ever. It's both sad and hilarious that a couple of BBC engineers are talking over the song, one of them being completely oblivious of the fact that he is interrupting the performance, on live television... Which was being televised to almost 2 billion homes. Freddie Mercury Artworks With Some Quotes

Freddie Mercury Artworks With Some Quotes

My facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/QueenwhenMusicisMagicandMagicisMusic?ref=hl Songs: Larry Lurex, "Going Back", 1973 and a part of "The Miracle" (Queen, 1989). I made this video with some Mercury's artworks (he earned a Diploma in Art and Graphic Design at Ealing Art Collage, later using these skills to design the Queen crest). There are also some famous quotes by Freddie. Thank you for watching! Description of Freddie Mercury Rose: A spectacular rose, and great plant gift idea for any fans of Freddie Mercury and Queen. Blooms are soft tones of yellow and apricot. Dark glossy green foliage complemented by an abundance of single and small cluster flowers. Overall height 90cm making it ideal for a container or can be plant in the garden. LYRICS: GOING BACK (Words and music by Gerry Goffin and Carole King) I think I'm going back To the things I learnt so well in my youth I think I'm returning to Those days when I was young enough to know the truth Now there are no games To only pass the time No more colouring books No Christmas bells to chime But thinking young and growing older is no sin And I can't play the game of life to win I can recall a time When I wasn't ashamed to reach out to a friend And now I think I've got A lot more than just my toys to lend Now there's more to do Than watch my sailboat glide And every day can be My magic carpet ride And I can play hide and seek with my fears And live my days instead of counting my years Then everyone debates The true reality I'd rather see the world The way it used to be A little bit of freedom's all we lack So catch me if you can I'm going back THE MIRACLE (Queen) (Every drop of rain that falls in Sahara Desert says it all It's a miracle All God's creations great and small the Golden Gate and the Taj Mahal That's a miracle Test tube babies being born mothers, fathers dead and gone It's a miracle We're having a miracle on earth mother nature does it all for us The wonders of this world go on the hanging Gardens of Babylon, Captain Cook and Cain and Abel) Jimi Hendrix to the Tower of Babel It's a miracle, it's a miracle, it's a miracle The one thing we're all waiting for is peace on earth an end to war It's a miracle we need, the miracle The miracle we're all waiting for today If every leaf on every tree could tell a story that would be a miracle If every child on every street had clothes to wear and food to eat That's a miracle If all God's people could be free to live in perfect harmony It's a miracle We're having a miracle on earth mother nature does it all for us Open hearts and surgery Sunday mornings with a cup of tea Super powers always fighting but Mona Lisa just keeps on smiling It's a miracle, it's a miracle, it's a miracle The wonders of this world go on, It's a miracle, it's a miracle, it's a miracle The one thing we're all waiting for is peace on earth and the end to war It's a miracle we need, the miracle, the miracle Peace on earth and end to war That time will come one day you'll see when we can all be friends That time will come one day you'll see when we can all be friends when we can all be friends Spero vi piaccia!

Queen - In The Lap Of The Gods (Live At The Odeon - Hammersmith 1975)

Queen - In The Lap Of The Gods (Live At The Odeon - Hammersmith 1975)

Subscribe to the official Queen channel Here http://bit.ly/Subscribe2Queen Out now - https://queen.lnk.to/ANATO December 24, 1975. London’s Hammersmith Odeon. Onstage at this legendary venue, the four members of Queen are bringing to a close a ground-breaking show, transmitted live on BBC TV, and also bringing to a climax the most eventful and exciting year in their careers so far – one that has taken them from the UK to America to Japan, sealing their transition from ambitious upstarts into one of the biggest and most important bands of the era - and beyond. Forty years later, this groundbreaking show officially takes to the World Stage. On November 20, Queen - A Night At The Odeon - Hammersmith 1975 is released on CD, DVD, SD Blu-Ray, 2 LP vinyl, Super Deluxe Box Set and digitally through Virgin EMI. As well as a live recording of this legendary gig, the packages also include extra-special bonus features for the Queen fans. Featuring 15 tracks from their first four visionary albums, plus covers of four classic rock’n’roll staples delivered with characteristic panache, A Night At The Odeon - Hammersmith 1975 captures a band in full flight and radiating megawatts of self-confidence. Their latest single Bohemian Rhapsody – universally hailed as one of the most ground-breaking ‘pop’ songs ever released – was in the middle of its record-breaking nine week run at Number One in the UK charts. Their fourth album, A Night At The Opera (the most expensive record ever made to that point) found Queen’s grandiose vision coalescing into a breathtaking set of songs and ushered the band into a seat at rock’s top table (just three days after the concert, A Night At The Opera reached the top of the UK album charts). The Christmas Eve show was the climax of the 26-date ‘Queen Invite You To A Night At The Opera Tour’, which had begun mid-November and had already seen the band play four nights at the same venue a month earlier. Melody Maker magazine had trumpeted the tour with the words “Britain’s most regal band await your presence”, and the reviews of the previous shows had been ecstatic. By the time the band returned to Hammersmith on Christmas Eve, they were truly firing on all cylinders. No expense had been spared, from the stellar light show which lent a spectacular visual element to the night’s proceedings to the suitably lavish white Bechstein grand piano which had been hired especially for this show. Nor had the band themselves overlooked the finer sartorial details. Freddie Mercury sported two different satin cat suits – one black one white – during the show, designed by Wendy deSmet with the singer’s input. Similarly, Freddie had painted the nails of his left hand black for the occasion, while Brian May had his (at the time) trademark white nails. But for all the stage dressing, every Queen concert was purely and simply about the performance – and this was no exception. Cherry-picked from Queen, Queen II, Sheer Heart Attack and the triumphant A Night At The Opera, the set list showed every facet of the band, from the ornate hard rock of Keep Yourself Alive and Seven Seas Of Rhye to the baroque grandeur of The March Of The Black Queen, from the heavy metal strut of Ogre Battle and Son And Daughter to the playful genre-bending of Bring Back That Leroy Brown and Queen’s breakthrough hit Killer Queen. It was also the tour when they first unleashed the soon-to-be-legendary Bohemian Rhapsody on an unsuspecting public – to a rapturous reception. With the issue of A Night At The Odeon this legendary show has finally been given the pedestal it deserves, delivered in fitting style, featuring an incredible new audio mix in stereo and 5.1 surround-sound plus an absolute state-of-the-art restoration of the video. As well as audio and visual footage of the gig, the DVD and SD Blu-Ray versions feature two special bonus features – 'Looking Back At The Odeon’, a brand new 22-minute documentary featuring a previously unseen interview with Brian May and Roger Taylor by Old Grey Whistle Test presenter Bob Harris about the 1975 Hammersmith Odeon show, plus the rarely seen Live At The Budokan – Japan 1975 footage, featuring three songs (Now I'm Here, Killer Queen and In The Lap Of The Gods… Revisited) recorded during their legendary tour of the Far East. The Super Deluxe Boxed Set also includes a never-before-heard recording from the pre-show soundcheck – something that no one outside of the band themselves knew existed until now. A Night At The Odeon – Hammersmith 1975 is released on the following formats: CD: http://queen.lnk.to/ANATO-CD DVD: http://queen.lnk.to/ANATO-DVD SD Blu-ray: http://queen.lnk.to/ANATO-Blu-ray CD+DVD: http://queen.lnk.to/ANATO-CDDVD CD+SD Blu-ray: http://queen.lnk.to/ANATO-CDBlu-ray 2 LP: http://queen.lnk.to/ANATO-LP Super Deluxe Box: http://queen.lnk.to/ANATO-SuperDeluxe

Queen - Seven Seas of Rhye - first Top of the Pops performance

This is a test encode of a project I've been working on for some time now. As most of you know the original recording of this show was deleted many years ago. Queen Productions probably managed to get a full colour copy, but most of the fans have only a black and white copy plus a couple of full colour snippets. I have tried to join all available videos together, but I'm not sure about the result. Please let me know what you think about merging colour and B&W footage, especially in the parts where you can see the colour version and the black & white version at the same time

Freddie Mercury Transformation - From Baby To 45 Years Old

Freddie Mercury Transformation - From Baby To 45 Years Old

Freddie Mercury, original name Farrokh Bulsara, (born September 5, 1946, Stone Town, Zanzibar—died November 24, 1991, Kensington, London, England), British rock singer and songwriter whose flamboyant showmanship and powerfully agile vocals, most famously for the band Queen, made him one of rock’s most dynamic front men. Bulsara was born to Parsi parents who had emigrated from India to Zanzibar, where his father worked as a clerk for the British government. Influenced by the hard-edged, blues-based style of rock acts such as Cream and Jimi Hendrix, Bulsara began singing with bands in London. He also became friends with guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor of the band Smile, and in 1970, when Smile’s lead singer quit, Bulsara replaced him. He soon changed the group’s name to Queen and his own to Freddie Mercury. Bassist John Deacon joined the following year. Incorporating elements of both heavy metal and glam rock, the band debuted on record with Queen (1973), which was followed by Queen II (1974). Despite an impressive blend of majestic vocal harmonies and layered virtuosic guitar work, Queen initially failed to attract much notice beyond the United Kingdom. The album Sheer Heart Attack (1974), however, shot up the international charts, and A Night at the Opera (1975) sold even better. The band’s ambitious approach to both songwriting and studio production was epitomized by the latter album’s mock-operatic single “Bohemian Rhapsody,” one of a number of Queen compositions written principally by Mercury. The song spent nine weeks atop the British singles chart, and its accompanying promotional film helped the music industry recognize its future in video. Spectacular success followed in 1977 with “We Are the Champions” and “We Will Rock You”—which became ubiquitous anthems at sporting events in Britain and the United States. Although Queen’s commercial fortunes had begun to wane by mid-decade, the band arguably reached its apotheosis as a live act with a stellar performance at the charity concert Live Aid in 1985. That same year Mercury released the solo record Mr. Bad Guy, which took musical inspiration from disco. Mercury later appeared on the sound track of Dave Clark’s science-fiction musical Time (1986) and teamed with Spanish soprano Montserrat Caballe for the semi-operatic album Barcelona (1988). In 1991 Mercury, who had engaged in relationships with both men and women, announced that he had been diagnosed with AIDS. He died a day later from complications related to the disease. Until shortly before his death, Mercury had continued to record with Queen, and he was posthumously featured on the band’s final album, Made in Heaven (1995). Bohemian Rhapsody (2018 biographical film about the British rock band Queen) has grossed over $401 million worldwide on a production budget of about $50 million. It is the highest-grossing musical biographical film of all time. The film received mixed reviews from critics; its portrayals of Mercury's life and sexuality and of the other band members were criticised, but Rami Malek's performance and the music sequences received praise. Several historical inaccuracies were also highlighted. Queen's Greatest Hits (released worldwide on 26 October 1981) was an instant success, peaking at number one on the UK Albums Chart for four weeks. It has spent 833 weeks in the UK Charts, and is the best-selling album of all time in the UK, selling over six million copies. It is certified eight times platinum in the United States, and is Queen's most commercially successful album worldwide with over 25 million copies sold, making it one of the best-selling albums of all time. Radiohead guitarist Ed O'Brien hailed the UK edition of Greatest Hits as "impeccable" and "absolutely genius", while British journalist Brian Viner called it the greatest album of all time. Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody (A Night At The Odeon - Hammersmith 1975)

Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody (A Night At The Odeon - Hammersmith 1975)

Subscribe to the official Queen channel Here http://bit.ly/Subscribe2Queen Queen – A Night At The Odeon – Hammersmith 1975 December 24, 1975.
