12 Famous Logos With a Secret Meaning

12 Famous Logos With a Secret Meaning

A logo is the face of a brand, and we often buy this or that item because its “face” is well-known to the world. Come on, don’t deny it! As for the best logos, they convey a hidden subtext that represents the company’s values, goals, or history. So, here are 12 world-famous logos with a secret hidden meaning! TIMESTAMPS: Airbnb 1:15 TripAdvisor 2:02 MasterCard 2:55 Dell 3:53 National Geographic 4:26 Vodafone 5:08 Haribo 6:00 Subway 6:37 DC Comics 7:29 Mozilla Firefox 8:15 Bacardi 9:09 Orbit 9:42 Preview photo credit: Firefox logo used since June 2013 (version 23.0 Beta), Previous version of logo, used since Firefox 3.5: By © The Mozilla Foundation, CC BY 3.0 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/deed.es, https://es.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Archivo:Mozilla_Firefox_logo_2013.svg Animation is created by Bright Side Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music SUMMARY: - The logo contains 4 simple yet meaningful elements: the head of a person that represents a user of their site, the sign for a location on a map to show where the house or apartment is, a heart to represent love, and, finally, all of these symbols combine to make the letter “A” for Airbnb. - TripAdvisor’s logo is an owl, which symbolizes wisdom and knowledge. As for its different-colored eyes, they show that each traveler has a choice to make: green means go, and red means no! - The international payment system we all know these days as MasterCard was established in 1966 as Interbank. Red stands for bravery, passion, and for doing what makes you feel joy. The bright yellow symbolizes prosperity. - Ever wonder why the “E” in Dell’s logo is all askew? Well, the founder of the company, Michael Dell, wanted to convey the meaning of the popular idiom “turn the world on its ear,” which means to change something in an exciting way. - National Geographic, the popular magazine and channel that broadcasts documentaries in 171 countries, made its logo a yellow rectangle. The rectangle symbolizes a door that’s open to the world of knowledge about nature, science, and culture. Yellow and bright just like the Sun. - Vodafone is a British mobile provider that operates mostly in Europe, Asia, Africa, and Oceania. The company chose a couple of mysterious things for its logo, which looks sort of like an earphone. The designers wanted to show that, with Vodafone, users can talk to each other any time they want. - The Haribo’s founder combined the first 2 letters of his first and last name, Hans Riegel, and added the first 2 letters of his hometown of Bonn. - The arrows on the first and last letters of the Subway logo are there for a reason: they actually stand for the entrance and exit to the subway. This way, the company demonstrates that, with Subway, you can eat on the go, like in the actual subway! - Jim Lee revealed what the new logo of DC Comics actually means. The nooks and angles are meant to evoke the Superman “S” symbol, the Wonder Woman “WW” emblem, and the Bat-Signal. - “Firefox” is the English translation of the Chinese name for a red panda. This way, the company wanted to demonstrate how unique they are because this is a very rare kind of panda that’s actually endangered. - The legend goes that the wife of Bacardi’s co-founder saw a bat in their liquor factory. But instead of getting scared and running for the exit, he took it as a sign and decided that this was exactly what should be on the logo. - If you look closely at the Orbit's logo, you’ll notice that the capital “O” is split into 2 parts: one dark and one light. In the background you can see the image of an orbit. So, it’s clear that the “O” symbolizes day and night and a planet revolving around the Sun. 25 Things Pixar Does That Disney Would Never Do

25 Things Pixar Does That Disney Would Never Do

They may technically be owned by the same company, but there's still a huge difference between Disney and Pixar movies! Subscribe to our channel: http://goo.gl/ho3Hg6 Check out "10 Shocking Disney Pixar Theories That Actually Make Sense" from our friends at CBR: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m0r87Bf3OTc Pixar is Disney’s baby they began taking care of in 2006. Since then, the word has flown around the industry that Pixar made Disney better when their head chief creative officer, John Lasseter, went over to help Disney. But it was also said that Pixar suffered and reverted to more sequels, however, their sequels turned out to be just as good as the originals. Take “Finding Dory” or “Toy Story 2” for examples. Despite Disney buying the major animation studio, Pixar still isn’t afraid to say no to them. Pixar has a core Brain Trust that all their ideas go through and they won’t be compromising any of their stories for a “Mulan,” “Aladdin,” or “Frozen” style film. Instead, Pixar is going to continue making outside the box, conflict-driven, flawed character leading films such as “Up,” “Wall-E,” “Toy Story,” “Inside Out,” “The Incredibles,” "Brave," "Cars," and “Monsters Inc.” Not to mention that both the major studios take time to make cool little short films before their actual features, but Disney can’t even hold a candle to Pixar’s originality in those. So what has made Pixar so consistently successful over the years? Is it their small, closed group of in-house writers? Is it the time they take for the proper story, like the ten years it took “The Incredible 2” to be made? Is it their knowledge that Chinese food creates conflict? Is it their no-fear at tackling new worlds like that of “Coco”? It’s all these things and way more! Watch this video to discover all the crazy, fearless, and risk-taking things that Pixar does that Disney would NEVER do! You’ll be shocked at the differences and thrilled to watch the newest Pixar film! 10 Animated Movie Mistakes They Thought No One Would Notice

10 Animated Movie Mistakes They Thought No One Would Notice

10 Animated Movie Mistakes They THOUGHT No One Would Notice! Subscribe to our channel: http://goo.gl/ho3Hg6 There were some really awesome animated movies to hit the big screen in the past couple of years. Some of them won fans over thanks to their gorgeous animation, others for their great characters and stories. Not all of them landed but all of them had an impact with audiences. But despite their success-or infamy-these animated films have some mistakes in them. It’s inevitable but as long as you don’t take it too seriously, looking for animated movie mistakes can be pretty enjoyable. For instance, Maui’s hook in Moana somehow vanishes way before the volcano god takes it away from him. What gives? The name “Destiny” magically appears on the side of a bin in Finding Dory, while a giant red button suddenly appears in Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie. Ferdinand has a giant plot hole-somehow his new human family know his name despite him being a runaway. How? The Boss Baby actually has two mistakes in the same scene-one concerning geography and one continuity. Despicable Me 3 makes a point of showing the importance of seatbelts but suddenly tosses that out the window in the next shot while Cars 3 sees one truck magically change colors between shots. Coco, the 2018 animated movie winner at the Oscars, has a mistake concerning where characters are in one shot versus another. Lego Batman somehow has an amazing invisible maid that hides a mess between shots. Amazing. The Emoji Movie somehow has the Flash on the team and brings gumdrops between shots-it’s the only explanation. That or the animators just made an honest mistake, but we won’t fault them for it! 10 Movie Mistakes Animators Made Without Getting Caught

10 Movie Mistakes Animators Made Without Getting Caught

Did you notice any of these animation mistakes? 10 Movie Mistakes Animators Made Without Getting Caught! Subscribe to our channel: http://goo.gl/ho3Hg6 Check Out These Other Amazing Videos: 10 Times Disney Ripped Off Other Films - https://youtu.be/VhjDaCCyc50 10 Popular Movie Scenes That Were Changed in Other Countries - https://youtu.be/oB8Fr6Mm2zA We all love animated films right? They’re not only fun but full of memorable characters and most importantly, breathtaking animations. They help take us to new worlds or to see our world in a different light. But despite the attention to detail that goes into them, mistakes still happen. Take Disney’s Frozen, which has it’s fair share of mistakes but the one we’re talking about this time focuses on a certain snowman named Marshmallow. Other Disney and Pixar films have made mistakes, such as Finding Dory, Big Hero 6, Zootopia and Moana. They all look gorgeous but still have something that draws us out a bit. But it’s not all Disney and it’s not all for kids. Batman: The Killing Joke is definitely not for kids but still remains one of the most talked about and polarizing films of that year. One animation mistake can be found during one such scene that divided fans. Other films include the return of Spongebob Squarepants to the big screen and of course, the Minions, who are always up to no good it seems. Luckily for them, this mistake actually has nothing to do with them specifically so they’re off the hook this time. The Peanuts Movie saw the return of Charlie Brown and Snoopy to the big screen yet despite it’s unique and charming animation style, was also the victim of some animation mistakes. Cars 3 raced into cinemas so we looked back at the first Cars, which had an usual cow tipping scene which caused the film one of its biggest mistakes. Script by: Sean Gallagher Voice Over by: Nolan Tashjian Edited by: Andy Davenport Featuring: Zootopia | 0:45 Finding Dory | 1:57 Moana | 3:06 Batman | 4:12 The Spongebob Movie | 5:29 The Peanuts Movie | 6:44 Big Hero 6 | 7:51 Cars | 9:03 Frozen | 10:13 Toy Story 3 & The Holocaust | 9:40 Our Social Media: https://twitter.com/screenrant https://www.facebook.com/ScreenRant https://plus.google.com/+ScreenRant Our Website http://screenrant.com/

Steven Spielberg Gives A Tour of Universal Studios - Behind The Scenes of Movie Magic

Steven Spielberg Gives A Tour of Universal Studios - Behind The Scenes of Movie Magic

Filmmaker Steven Spielberg gives a tour of the world-famous Universal Studios (Hollywood) lot in Universal City (Los Angeles), California 91608. Steven Spielberg is gonna need a boat. Not a bigger boat. Same-sized boat, preferably. Actually, the closer they can replicate the Orca fishing vessel from Jaws, the better. We are sitting in a golf cart beside the lagoon at Universal Studios in Hollywood (Universal City), where — ever since 1976, the year after Jaws debuted — a mechanical great white has breached these depths to menace tourists on the famed tram (Studio) tour. (It works better than the prop shark on the movie ever did.) This faux harbor, located just up the hill from Spielberg’s hacienda-style Amblin Entertainment offices, was once the mooring spot of the actual Orca fishing boat that was used in the movie. Until, one day, it wasn’t. “I used to come out for a couple of years after I made the movie to get over my PTSD,” Spielberg says, gesturing across the water. “I would work through my own trauma because it was traumatic. I would just sit in that boat alone for hours, just working through, and I would shake. My hands would shake.” A psychiatrist might call this “exposure therapy” — confronting the thing that scares you. In Spielberg’s case: an out-of-control, over-budget, possibly career-ending nightmare production that nearly ruined him as a 27-year-old director just as he was getting started. The troubles on that movie drove him, fueled him, made him tougher as he went on to make Raiders of the Lost Ark, E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial, Jurassic Park, Schindler’s List, Saving Private Ryan, Lincoln, and countless others, including the new family fable The BFG. Forcing himself to sit on the Jaws boat in the middle of a fake lake on a dusty hillside in Los Angeles was how Spielberg reminded himself that whatever went wrong, he could handle it. He could fix it. He could make things work. “Then I was fine,” he says. Time passed. “I hadn’t seen the boat in five years and decided to just come back and revisit it. And it was gone.” He shakes his head and throws up his hands. “They said there was dry rot, there were termites. Of course, there were termites and dry rot! It was an old boat!” All that remains of the Orca now are the wheel, one propeller, and the flag. “I’m going to actually ask them to rebuild it and put it back here,” Spielberg says. “Because the tourists would love to see the Orca here.” So would he. The aches and pains of the Jaws shoot are exactly what Spielberg wants to face again, kind of like Robert Shaw’s Quint and Richard Dreyfuss’ Hooper showing off their healed-over scars. Spielberg has made movies at studios all over Hollywood, but Universal has always been his home base. Not only is it the location of Amblin, it’s also where a baby-faced, teenage Steve Spielberg sneaked through the gates over the course of one long summer in the early 1960s, hoping to learn everything he could about moviemaking. The BFG is Spielberg’s first movie released under the Walt Disney Studios banner, but its story of a little orphan girl and her adventures with a big friendly giant (played by Bridge of Spies Oscar-winner Mark Rylance) seemed like a good opportunity to revisit Spielberg’s own original stomping grounds. While we’re gazing across the water, a tram rolls by and the 69-year-old transforms from legendary director…to theme-park attraction. Spielberg grins and waves as the tourists try to get over their surprise in time to snap a few pictures." Animated films are full of specialties that most viewers can’t see, and one of the most important is character animation, where the animators become the actors who bring characters to life. Kira came to Variety to reveal just how much of her is in that plucky bunny. Producer/Writer/Host: David S.
