It's, in my opinion, better than the last one, but, it has just a few minor mistakes yet, lifes about learning from mistakes, so thats alright:). Note: I own none of these pictures. The Bee Gees walk out of CLIVE ANDERSON TALKS BACK (BBC1, 30th October 1997)

The famous interview, in full, of Clive Anderson annoying Barry Gibb so much, he walked off the show. To be honest, Clive was pushing it a bit but Barry was nevertheless being a bit of a pompous tit. I can't watch this without thinking of David Walliams' impersonation on ROCK PROFILES. [NB : I've disabled comments on this video because I'd just had enough of trolling behaviour]

Freddie Mercury transformation from 1 to 45 years old

Freddie Mercury transformation from 1 to 45 years old

Freddie mercury through the years. Farrokh "Freddie" Mercury (5 September 1946 – 24 November 1991) was a British singer, songwriter and record producer, known as the lead vocalist of the rock band Queen. He was known for his flamboyant stage persona and four-octave vocal range. Mercury wrote numerous hits for Queen, including "Bohemian Rhapsody", "Killer Queen", "Somebody to Love", "Don't Stop Me Now", "Crazy Little Thing Called Love", and "We Are the Champions". He led a solo career while performing with Queen, and occasionally served as a producer and guest musician for other artists. Mercury was born of Parsi descent in the Sultanate of Zanzibar, and grew up there and in India before moving with his family to Middlesex, England, in his teens. He formed Queen in 1970 with guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor. Mercury died in 1991 at age 45 due to complications from AIDS, having confirmed the day before his death that he had contracted the disease. In 1992, Mercury was posthumously awarded the Brit Award for Outstanding Contribution to British Music, and a tribute concert was held at Wembley Stadium, London. As a member of Queen, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001, the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2003, and the UK Music Hall of Fame in 2004. In 2002, he was placed number 58 in the BBC's 2002 poll of the 100 Greatest Britons. He is consistently voted one of the greatest singers in the history of popular music. What Happened To Paul Prenter? - Bohemian Rhapsody Movie If you wish to support the channel on Patreon https://www.patreon.com/rocklicks What happened to Paul Prenter? Belfast Telegraph Article https://www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/entertainment/news/how-exdowntown-radio-dj-who-was-freddie-mercurys-lover-became-the-villain-of-new-movie-bohemian-rhapsody-37472422.html In the Bohemian Rhapsody Movie Paul Prenter played by Allen Leech is every inch the villain Any Queen site will tell he was a Judas Interesting interview with Allen Leech who studied footage of Prenter said all the pictures show Prenter constantly whispering in Freddie’s ear. Knowing that a persons character isn’t as cut and dry as just being wicked he tried to bring humanity to the roll. A Belfast Dj who cut a lonley figure and as pointed out in the film it was difficult for a gay catholic boy who’s father would have rather him be dead. During filming scenes Leech pointed out that Brian May apologies for not having much to do with him as his portrayal was so accurate he found him difficult to be around The movie introduces us to Prenter in 1975 as a creeping Jesus type character in reality Prenter didn’t enter Queen circles until 1977 and became Freddie’s personal assistant. There was stories of Prenter intercepting phone calls and not relaying messages one of the courses of Queen failing in America. One of the best scenes is Brian May telling Freddie and Prenter they look like clones and look like the village people Prenter was a an enabler a hanger on who misused his influence. It was a Toxic friendship, true friends tell you what you don’t want to hear. Scene where he doesn’t fill Rogers glass somes up the relationship between the rest of the band Tensions were in the band because of Prenters influence were shown and indeed Brian May wasn’t happy with Hot Space because of his interference We see scenes referring to that where Prenter offers his opinion in the studio and in the recording studio for Mr Bad Guy he tells the sound man to turn the treble up In the movie Prenter is sacked prior to Live Aid in reality Prenter was sacked in 1986 and the ultimate betrayer came in 1987 with him selling his story in 1987 telling all £32,000 The articles really did tell all and must have been a huge blow to Freddie Mercury He tried to make excuses by saying he was hounded by the press Paul Prenter died in August 1991 a few month before Freddie VIDEO BY James Rundle

18 CANDID PHOTOS OF FREDDIE MERCURY WITH HIS BOYFRIEND JIM HUTTON IN THE LATE 1980S

18 CANDID PHOTOS OF FREDDIE MERCURY WITH HIS BOYFRIEND JIM HUTTON IN THE LATE 1980S

18 Candid Photographs of Freddie Mercury With His Boyfriend Jim Hutton in the Late 1980s: Freddie Mercury met Jim Hutton at a club in 1984 when he offered to buy Jim a drink, and he politely turned him down. Jim didn’t recognize Freddie but a few months later while at a restaurant his friend told him: “Hey, Freddie Mercury is behind you.” Jim this time accepted Mercury’s drink and the two talked for a while, but nothing happened for another year. About eighteen months later, the two happened to meet again at the same club. Freddie once again bought Jim a drink and this time they got together. Jim ended up moving in the Garden Lodge with Freddie about two years later. When Freddie was diagnosed with AIDS in 1987, he offered Jim an exit on their relationship. He told Jim he would understand if he left. In a Freddie Mercury documentary, Jim recalls telling him, “I love you, Freddie - I’m not going anywhere.” And he didn’t; Jim stayed with Freddie until he died. He nursed him, cared for him, and was there when he took his last breath. Upon his death, Freddie left Jim £500,000 as well as a plot of land at Rutland Terrace, Carlow where he built a house. Jim Hutton died in 2010 from a form of lung cancer. He had then been living with HIV for over 20 years. Labels: 1980s, famous people, life, love, portraits

Queen - Live at LIVE AID 1985/07/13 [Best Version]

Queen - Live at LIVE AID 1985/07/13 [Best Version]

This is the absolute ULTIMATE experience of Queen's set at LIVE AID, this is the best video mixed to the absolutely superior stereo radio broadcast. This vastly superior audio mix takes a huge dump on all of the official mixes. Best viewed in 1080p. ENJOY! ***MAKE SURE TO READ THE DESCRIPTION*** 00:36 - Bohemian Rhapsody 02:42 - Radio Ga Ga 06:53 - Ay Oh! 07:34 - Hammer To Fall 12:08 - Crazy Little Thing Called Love 16:03 - We Will Rock You 17:18 - We Are The Champions 21:12 - Is This The World We Created...? Short song analysis: - "Bohemian Rhapsody": Although it's a short medley version, it's one of the best performances of the ballad section, with Freddie nailing the Bb4s with the correct studio phrasing (for the first time ever!). - "Radio Ga Ga": Although it's missing one chorus, this is one of - if not the best - the best versions ever, Freddie nails all the Bb4s and sounds very clean! Spike Edney's Roland Jupiter 8 also really shines through on this mix, compared to the DVD releases! - "Audience Improv": A great improv, Freddie sounds strong and confident. You gotta love when he sustains that A4 for 4 seconds! - "Hammer To Fall": Despite missing a verse and a chorus, it's a strong version (possibly the best ever). Freddie sings the song amazingly, and even ad-libs a C#5 and a C5! Also notice how heavy Brian's guitar sounds compared to the thin DVD mixes - it roars! - "Crazy Little Thing Called Love": A great version, the crowd loves the song, the jam is great as well! Only downside to this is the slight feedback issues. - "We Will Rock You": Although cut down to the 1st verse and chorus, Freddie sounds strong. He nails the A4, and the solo from Dr. May is brilliant! - "We Are the Champions": Perhaps the high-light of the performance - Freddie is very daring on this version, he sustains the pre-chorus Bb4s, nails the 1st C5, belts great A4s, but most importantly: He nails the chorus Bb4s, in all 3 choruses! This is the only time he has ever done so! It has to be said though, the last one sounds a bit rough, but that's a side effect of belting high notes for the past 18 minutes, with nodules AND laryngitis! - "Is This The World We Created... ?": Freddie and Brian perform a beautiful version of this, and it is one of the best versions ever. It's both sad and hilarious that a couple of BBC engineers are talking over the song, one of them being completely oblivious of the fact that he is interrupting the performance, on live television... Which was being televised to almost 2 billion homes. Brian May to RT: I still feel Freddie's around

Brian May to RT: I still feel Freddie's around

RT caught up with legendary Queen guitarist Brian May, who also happens to be an astrophysicist, after a symposium of astronomers in the Canary Islands to talk about links between music and science, God, the universe and the mystery of death. May says being both a musician and a scientist gives him an interesting observation point to view both. "I love pure science and I love pure music. They are not the same for sure, but certainly throughout the centuries there have been people, who were immersed in both of them, from Leonardo da Vinci to Patrick Moore. Maybe it's an abstraction thing, maybe people who like those things, don't like the clutter of the world we live in. They just like to find the essence of life," he told RT. As a man of art, May has insights into life, which he has to put under question as a man of science, he says. "If you say 'there is no God,' where is evidence there is no God? You can say 'I don't know.' Being an agnostic to me is a scientific point of view, which is supportable. In my experience, I felt at times that there is a God of some kind. I don't subscribe to any organized religion -- that's a different matter. But if there is a God, we have very little idea of what that God may be. That's inherent in what we are," he said. Such limits of perception actually give hope at certain points of life, for instance, when you think of what come after it is over, May said. "I'm inclined to think that out view of the universe is very simplified. A beetle crawling over a piece of paper has a very limited view of the universe. I think we also have a limited view. So this existence that we know may be just a very small part of the whole picture. I'm not counting on it, because maybe at the end of your life -- that's it. I don't know. One thing is certain: you can't use it as an excuse. You can't say: 'this life is very bad, but the next one will be OK.' You have to make the best of what you are," he said. May, who contemplated suicide at one point in his life, says taking your life is very self-centered and thinking of people who love you and count on you helps in beating such thoughts. "In a sense it's a very selfish thing to kill yourself, because you make so much mess. You do terrible things to the people around you. I did check myself into a depression clinic, which was actually the best thing I ever did, because it was a new start. It was like re-starting your car. I had to ditch my preconceptions, and that work certainly gave me new energy. I realized that if I did not deal with the depression, I was of no use to anybody. It's the same kind of logic as not killing yourself," he said. RT on Twitter: http://twitter.com/RT_com RT on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/RTnews

The songs he wrote for and with Queen filled stadiums around the globe and have rightly gone down in history, but he also embarked on a solo career that took him from the clubs of Munich and New York to the great opera houses of the world. He was the ultimate showman, but he kept his private life away from the prying eyes of the media; a larger than life rock star who loved disco, classical music and ballet. He was a restless spirit, a true chameleon who revelled in his own contradictions. All the different sides of this iconic musician can be found on Freddie Mercury: Messenger Of The Gods - The Singles. All formats released September 2nd 2016.
