Who captured and sold the Igbos as slaves (1)

Who captured and sold the Igbos as slaves (1)

It is always said that a lie when told often enough becomes true. This has proven to be the case with the Negro slave trade where the lie “Africans sold other Africans” or “Negroes sold themselves” has been told often enough that people now believe it is true. In this video, we shall examine the slave trade and how it was done and see if it is possible for the Negroes to have done it themselves. We are by this challenge you to provided us with any document or publication indication such and published before 1950. The Atlantic Slave Trade: Crash Course World History #24

The Atlantic Slave Trade: Crash Course World History #24

In which John Green teaches you about one of the least funny subjects in history: slavery. John investigates when and where slavery originated, how it changed over the centuries, and how Europeans and colonists in the Americas arrived at the idea that people could own other people based on skin color. Slavery has existed as long as humans have had civilization, but the Atlantic Slave Trade was the height, or depth, of dehumanizing, brutal, chattel slavery. American slavery ended less than 150 years ago. In some parts of the world, it is still going on. So how do we reconcile that with modern life? In a desperate attempt at comic relief, Boba Fett makes an appearance. Incidents in the Life of a Slave Girl, Written by Herself (FULL Audiobook)

Incidents in the Life of a Slave Girl, Written by Herself by Harriet Jacobs (1813-1897) http://free-audio-books.info/slavery/incidents-in-the-life-of-a-slave-girl-written-by-herself/ Harriet Jacobs' autobiography, written under the pseudonym Linda Brent, details her experiences as a slave in North Carolina, her escape to freedom in the north, and her ensuing struggles to free her children. The narrative was partly serialized in the New York Tribune, but was discontinued because Jacobs' depictions of the sexual abuse of female slaves were considered too shocking. It was published in book form in 1861. (Summary by Elizabeth Klett).
