Rowan Atkinson Live - Star of Mr.Bean - Funny invisible drum

In this hilarious clip Rowan bumps into something seemingly innocuous while sweeping the stage. This world famous clip sees him play an invisible drum kit. Whether mesmerising us with the sheer visual mastery of Mr. Bean, beguiling us with the acerbic wit of Edmund Blackadder, or simply entertaining us as the suave, but rather hapless British Secret Agent Johnny English, you surely won't have escaped the comic genius that is Rowan Atkinson. In Rowan Atkinson Live, co-written with Richard Curtis (4 Weddings & a Funeral, Notting Hill, Love Actually) and Ben Elton, Atkinson runs the whole gamut of his remarkably versatile 30 year career, with sketches, mimes and monologue's that are guaranteed to have you shedding tears of laughter. Performing live on stage alongside "straight man" Angus Deayton, the show features a number of original and familiar routines, including sketches that appeared in the original Mr. Bean series.

For the profundity that is achieved not by complexity but by clarity and simplicity. For the purity of the sentiment about death and parting and loss. For the long melodic line spinning out and the female voice soaring and soaring. For the repose and composure and gracefulness and the intense beauty of the soaring. For the ways one is drawn into the tremendous arc of heartbreak. The composer drops all masks and, at the age of eighty-two,[4] stands before you unveiled. And you dissolve.

Bernstein, The greatest 5 min. in music education

This amazing lecture series (The unanswered Question ), is actually an interdisciplinary overview about the evolution of Western European classical music from Bach through the 20th century crisis and beyond a bit . Mr. Bernstein uses linguistics namely Chomskian Linguistics to provide a framework to illustrate how music and all the arts evolved toward greater and greater levels of ambiguity/expressivity over history until the 20th century crisis . He manages this impressive feat of popular education , by dividing music into; Phonology (the study of sound); Syntax (the study of structure) and; Semantics (the study of meaning)

I have ever heard, the Rundfunkchor are simply magnificent here and provide a thrilling conclusion to what was a supremely satisfying concert in the GDR. The writer and composer Richard Wagner (1813 - 1883) was born in the city of Leipzig in Saxony. The city of his birth paid tribute to one of its most famous sons in 1988, then part of the German Democratic Republic, with an all Wagner concert from the New Gewandhaus concert hall, rebuilt by the GDR government and opened in in 1981. Kurt Masur conducts, with soprano Karan Armstrong and bass-baritone Theo Adam singing excerpts from Tristan und Isolde and Meistersinger, with equally stunning contributions from the Leipzig Radio Choir.

Mendelssohn: String Symphony No. 9 (Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra, Kurt Masur)

Mendelssohn: String Symphony No. 9 (Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra, Kurt Masur)

One of the second group of six string symphonies written by the fourteen year old budding genius, the Sinfonia No. 9 in C, is brilliant and in every respect an early symphony. Its immediate predecessor, the Sinfonia No. 8 in D, combines Mendelssohn's nascent originality with a healthy leavening of the influence of Mozart. Rather than paying further tribute to Mozart, Mendelssohn opens this work in Haydn-esque fashion, with a great ponderous introduction which then bursts into a marvelous, animated first theme. It quickly becomes something Haydn could never have written, with much greater harmonic and rhythmic range and technical sophistications including a divided part for the violas and a sudden shift to a marvelously effective fugal passage at the seam between the exposition and development sections of the first movement. It leaps a generation beyond Haydn and is brilliant far beyond anything of Mozart's at the same age. The piece also features a wondrous, pensive andante second movement and a sparkling, thoroughly Mendelssohnian scherzo. The allegro vivace with which the work concludes once again features brilliant counterpoint, delightful wit, and thoroughly original melodic lines. The work is significant as part of a set of thirteen early string symphonies which the composer wrote, partly as exercises and partly as an effort to spread his wings in the symphonic form. He had crafted the first six of these as early as 1821 - when he was all of twelve years of age - and at first they were purposefully patterned after the Empfindsamkeit style of works by C.P.E. Bach. This was at the direction of his first music tutor, Carl Freidrich Zelter. While the first six were both derivative and imitative, the second group, including this work, show signs of Mendelssohn kicking over the rote mimicry in favor of a more modern and personal style. That the youthful work seems influenced by Haydn in no way dims its brilliance. I. Grave - Allegro (0:00) II. Andante (10:34) III. Scherzo - Trio piu lento "La Suisse" (17:12) IV. Allegro vivace (20:41) ****** If you like this video subscribe to my channel. There are many more videos like this one lovingly prepared and edited by myself for your enjoyment! Mendelssohns - Piano Concerto No. 1 in G minor (op. 25) , Yuja Wang, Kurt Masur (Full)

Kurt Masur (direction) Yuja Wang (piano) Verbier Festival Orchestra Mendelssohn piano concerto opus 25 Mendelssohn's Piano Concerto No. 1 in G minor (op. 25) was written in 1830--1, around the same time as his fourth symphony ("Italian"), and premiered in Munich in October 1831. He had already written a piano concerto in A minor with string accompaniment (1822) and two concertos with two pianos (1823--4). The three connected movements — Molto allegro con fuoco in G minor Andante in E major Presto—Molto allegro e vivace in G major use several relatively new formal techniques in their brief span — for example, the piano enters very soon after the opening of the first movement, with little of an orchestral tutti to contrast with.[1] The concerto quickly obtained popularity, and contains many sections of improvisation, one of Mendelssohn's specialities. ===================== 王羽佳 門德爾松 - 鋼琴協奏曲 庫特·馬祖爾

Mozart - Symphony No. 40 in G minor, K. 550 [complete]

Mozart - Symphony No. 40 in G minor, K. 550 [complete]

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart wrote his Symphony No. 40 in G minor, KV. 550, in 1788. It is sometimes referred to as the "Great G minor symphony," to distinguish it from the "Little G minor symphony," No. 25. The two are the only minor key symphonies Mozart wrote. The 40th Symphony was completed on 25 July 1788. The composition occupied an exceptionally productive period of just a few weeks in 1788, during which time he also completed the 39th and 41st symphonies (26 June and 10 August, respectively). The symphony is scored (in its revised version) for flute, 2 oboes, 2 clarinets, 2 bassoons, 2 horns, and strings. Notably missing are trumpets and timpani. The work is in four movements, in the usual arrangement (fast movement, slow movement, minuet, fast movement) for a classical-style symphony: 1. Molto allegro, 2/2 2. Andante, 6/8 3. Menuetto. Allegretto -- Trio, 3/4 4. Finale. Allegro assai, 2/2. Every movement but the third is in sonata form; the minuet and trio are in the usual ternary form. This work has elicited varying interpretations from critics. Robert Schumann regarded it as possessing "Grecian lightness and grace". Donald Francis Tovey saw in it the character of opera buffa. Almost certainly, however, the most common perception today is that the symphony is tragic in tone and intensely emotional; for example, Charles Rosen (in The Classical Style) has called the symphony "a work of passion, violence, and grief." Although interpretations differ, the symphony is unquestionably one of Mozart's most greatly admired works, and it is frequently performed and recorded. Ludwig van Beethoven knew the symphony well, copying out 29 measures from the score in one of his sketchbooks. It is thought that the opening theme of the last movement may have inspired Beethoven in composing the third movement of his Fifth Symphony. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- FREE .mp3 and .wav files of all Mozart's music at: http://www.mozart-archiv.de/ FREE sheet music scores of any Mozart piece at: http://dme.mozarteum.at/DME/nma/start.php?l=2 ALSO check out these cool sites: http://musopen.org/ and http://imslp.org/wiki/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------- NOTE: I do not know who the performers of this are, nor the place and date of recording!!!
