Freddie Mercury was a man of many talents and many different sides. The songs he wrote for and with Queen filled stadiums around the globe and have rightly gone down in history, but he also embarked on a solo career that took him from the clubs of Munich and New York to the great opera houses of the world.

He was the ultimate showman, but he kept his private life away from the prying eyes of the media; a larger than life rock star who loved disco, classical music and ballet. He was a restless spirit, a true chameleon who revelled in his own contradictions.

All the different sides of this iconic musician can be found on Freddie Mercury: Messenger Of The Gods - The Singles. All formats released September 2nd 2016.

Queen - Live at LIVE AID 1985/07/13

This is the absolute ULTIMATE experience of Queen's set at LIVE AID, this is the best video mixed to the absolutely superior stereo radio broadcast. This vastly superior audio mix takes a huge dump on all of the official mixes. Best viewed in 1080p. ENJOY! ***MAKE SURE TO READ THE DESCRIPTION*** 00:36 - Bohemian Rhapsody 02:42 - Radio Ga Ga 06:53 - Ay Oh! 07:34 - Hammer To Fall 12:08 - Crazy Little Thing Called Love 16:03 - We Will Rock You 17:18 - We Are The Champions 21:12 - Is This The World We Created...? Short song analysis: - "Bohemian Rhapsody": Although it's a short medley version, it's one of the best performances of the ballad section, with Freddie nailing the Bb4s with the correct studio phrasing (for the first time ever!). - "Radio Ga Ga": Although it's missing one chorus, this is one of - if not the best - the best versions ever, Freddie nails all the Bb4s and sounds very clean! Spike Edney's Roland Jupiter 8 also really shines through on this mix, compared to the DVD releases! - "Audience Improv": A great improv, Freddie sounds strong and confident. You gotta love when he sustains that A4 for 4 seconds! - "Hammer To Fall": Despite missing a verse and a chorus, it's a strong version (possibly the best ever). Freddie sings the song amazingly, and even ad-libs a C#5 and a C5! Also notice how heavy Brian's guitar sounds compared to the thin DVD mixes - it roars! - "Crazy Little Thing Called Love": A great version, the crowd loves the song, the jam is great as well! Only downside to this is the slight feedback issues. - "We Will Rock You": Although cut down to the 1st verse and chorus, Freddie sounds strong. He nails the A4, and the solo from Dr. May is brilliant! - "We Are the Champions": Perhaps the high-light of the performance - Freddie is very daring on this version, he sustains the pre-chorus Bb4s, nails the 1st C5, belts great A4s, but most importantly: He nails the chorus Bb4s, in all 3 choruses! This is the only time he has ever done so! It has to be said though, the last one sounds a bit rough, but that's a side effect of belting high notes for the past 18 minutes, with nodules AND laryngitis! - "Is This The World We Created... ?": Freddie and Brian perform a beautiful version of this, and it is one of the best versions ever. It's both sad and hilarious that a couple of BBC engineers are talking over the song, one of them being completely oblivious of the fact that he is interrupting the performance, on live television... Which was being televised to almost 2 billion homes. Queen

Queen "Love of my life" (Freddie Mercury & Mary Austin)

" : http://www.agoravox.tv/tribune-libre/article/god-save-the-queen-her-fascist-30057 Montreal Forum (november 24, 25 1981) Freddie Mercury, Brian May, John Deacon, Roger Taylor Lyrics / Paroles : Can anybody find me somebody to love? Each morning I get up I die a little Can barely stand on my feet Take a look in the mirror and cry Lord what you're doing to me I have spent all my years in believing you But I just can't get no relief, Lord! Somebody, somebody Can anybody find me somebody to love? I work hard every day of my life I work till I ache my bones At the end I take home my hard earned pay all on my own - I get down on my knees And I start to pray Till the tears run down from my eyes Lord - somebody - somebody Can anybody find me - somebody to love? (He works hard) Everyday - I try and I try and I try - But everybody wants to put me down They say I'm goin' crazy They say I got a lot of water in my brain Got no common sense I got nobody left to believe Yeah - yeah yeah yeah Oh Lord Somebody - somebody Can anybody find me somebody to love? Got no feel, I got no rhythm I just keep losing my beat I'm ok, I'm alright Ain't gonna face no defeat I just gotta get out of this prison cell Someday I'm gonna be free, Lord! Find me somebody to love Can anybody find me somebody to love?

Freddie Mercury Transformation - From Baby To 45 Years Old

Freddie Mercury Transformation - From Baby To 45 Years Old

Freddie Mercury, original name Farrokh Bulsara, (born September 5, 1946, Stone Town, Zanzibar—died November 24, 1991, Kensington, London, England), British rock singer and songwriter whose flamboyant showmanship and powerfully agile vocals, most famously for the band Queen, made him one of rock’s most dynamic front men. Bulsara was born to Parsi parents who had emigrated from India to Zanzibar, where his father worked as a clerk for the British government. Influenced by the hard-edged, blues-based style of rock acts such as Cream and Jimi Hendrix, Bulsara began singing with bands in London. He also became friends with guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor of the band Smile, and in 1970, when Smile’s lead singer quit, Bulsara replaced him. He soon changed the group’s name to Queen and his own to Freddie Mercury. Bassist John Deacon joined the following year. Incorporating elements of both heavy metal and glam rock, the band debuted on record with Queen (1973), which was followed by Queen II (1974). Despite an impressive blend of majestic vocal harmonies and layered virtuosic guitar work, Queen initially failed to attract much notice beyond the United Kingdom. The album Sheer Heart Attack (1974), however, shot up the international charts, and A Night at the Opera (1975) sold even better. The band’s ambitious approach to both songwriting and studio production was epitomized by the latter album’s mock-operatic single “Bohemian Rhapsody,” one of a number of Queen compositions written principally by Mercury. The song spent nine weeks atop the British singles chart, and its accompanying promotional film helped the music industry recognize its future in video. Spectacular success followed in 1977 with “We Are the Champions” and “We Will Rock You”—which became ubiquitous anthems at sporting events in Britain and the United States. Although Queen’s commercial fortunes had begun to wane by mid-decade, the band arguably reached its apotheosis as a live act with a stellar performance at the charity concert Live Aid in 1985. That same year Mercury released the solo record Mr. Bad Guy, which took musical inspiration from disco. Mercury later appeared on the sound track of Dave Clark’s science-fiction musical Time (1986) and teamed with Spanish soprano Montserrat Caballe for the semi-operatic album Barcelona (1988). In 1991 Mercury, who had engaged in relationships with both men and women, announced that he had been diagnosed with AIDS. He died a day later from complications related to the disease. Until shortly before his death, Mercury had continued to record with Queen, and he was posthumously featured on the band’s final album, Made in Heaven (1995). Bohemian Rhapsody (2018 biographical film about the British rock band Queen) has grossed over $401 million worldwide on a production budget of about $50 million. It is the highest-grossing musical biographical film of all time. The film received mixed reviews from critics; its portrayals of Mercury's life and sexuality and of the other band members were criticised, but Rami Malek's performance and the music sequences received praise. Several historical inaccuracies were also highlighted. Queen's Greatest Hits (released worldwide on 26 October 1981) was an instant success, peaking at number one on the UK Albums Chart for four weeks. It has spent 833 weeks in the UK Charts, and is the best-selling album of all time in the UK, selling over six million copies. It is certified eight times platinum in the United States, and is Queen's most commercially successful album worldwide with over 25 million copies sold, making it one of the best-selling albums of all time. Radiohead guitarist Ed O'Brien hailed the UK edition of Greatest Hits as "impeccable" and "absolutely genius", while British journalist Brian Viner called it the greatest album of all time. Freddie Mercury Pavarotti Queen Too Much Love Will Kill You

My humble tribute to two great voices of the twentieth century. Queen Freddie Mercury meets Big Luciano Pavarotti. A duet that all of us would have liked to see. Video taken from Pavarotti & Friends 2003 and from Mercury & Montserrat Caballè Barcellona. Testo: I'm just the pieces of the man I used to be Too many bitter tears are raining down on me I'm far away from home And I've been facing this alone for much too long Io sento che qualcuno non mi ha detto mai su come poi si riesce a vivere così nella mente mia confusa guardo indietro per capire dove sbagliai Too much love will kill you If you can't make up your mind Torn between the lover and the love you leave behind You're headed for disaster 'cos you never read the signs Too much love will kill you, everytime Son solo l'ombra di quell'uomo che ero io e sembra che non trovo un'latra via per te io a te portavo il sole adesso quel che faccio butto giù How would it be if you were standing in my shoes Can't you see that it's impossible to choose No there's no making sense of it Every way I go I have to lose Troppo amor ti uccide ma nessuno amore no ma la forza che tu hai dentro che ti fa gridar ancor di dolore impazzirai sei la vittima e lo sai Troppo amor ti uccide la tua vita è una bugia Yes, too much love will kill you And you won't understand why You'd give your life you'd sell your soul But here it comes again Too much love will kill you In the end... In the end In the end... In the end

When Freddie Mercury Threw a Party

When Freddie Mercury Threw a Party

At the peak of his career, flamboyant Freddie Mercury threw himself into the party scene with gusto. Queen became known in the industry for throwing the most outrageous events, including a notorious bash at New Orleans’ Fairmont Hotel in 1978. The party, to celebrate the release of the album Jazz, reportedly featured naked waiters and waitresses, an entertainer biting heads off live chickens, nude models wrestling in a bath and an army of dwarfs walking around the venue with trays of cocaine strapped to their heads. His wild partying ways were a far cry from his childhood where he spent time at a strict Indian school before fleeing to London with his family, aged eight. Allegations of excessive drug use followed Freddie throughout his life, but he never put the breaks on his social life - even after he contracted HIV. He celebrated his 41st birthday at the Pikes Hotel in Ibiza, just months after his diagnosis, with one of the wildest parties the island had ever seen. Freddie invited 700 guests, including Kylie Minogue, Bon Jovi and Boy George, to witness a firework display so spectacular that it could be seen over 100 miles away in Majorca. A staggering 350 bottles of Moet & Chandon champagne were poured over the course of the evening, and the final bar bill - presented to Queen's manager, Jim Beach, included the cost of 232 glasses which had been smashed. By the mid Eighties, Queen were so famous they began hanging out with the royals. Freddie was mates with Princess Diana, and it has been claimed that he once sneaked the late princess into a gay club. The singer disguised Diana with a thick jacket, hat and sunglasses, and took her to the Royal Vauxhall Tavern where she spent a rare night away from the limelight as Freddie kept the crowds distracted. But Freddie's royal friends weren't limited to Diana - he also had a close bond with Michael Jackson, the King of pop. The two musical titans spent time recording together in 1983, but it was reported that some of Jackson's quirky behaviour pushed Freddie over the edge before they could finish anything. Queen's manager, Jim Beach, has spoken about a memorable phone call where Freddie begged to put and end to recording. "Michael’s bringing his pet llama into the studio every day and I’m really not used to recording with a llama," Freddie said. "I’ve had enough and I’d like to get out." However, it has also been claimed that Jackson pulled the plug on a session when he caught Freddie snorting coke through a hundred-dollar bill. #FreddieMercury #Queen #Mercury

Queen & David Bowie - Under Pressure (Classic Queen Mix)

Queen & David Bowie - Under Pressure (Classic Queen Mix)

More Queen on DVD: http://adf.ly/aGNvM "This remix is very close to the final album version. The bass lines seem to be a bit more prominent in the mix and the overall sound is a little less muddy. Freddie singing "that's okay!" has been removed right before Bowie sings, "it's the terror of knowing..." It is unknown who did this remix. It is rumored that this is actually an old mix from around the Hot Space time period". Info taken from www.QueenVault.com This video is a new mix between the Wembley version (12/7/86), the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert version at the same stadium in 1992, and the now old video made by DoRo for Under Pressure (Rah Mix) in 1999. http://adf.ly/YhsMw
