Poor Man's Front Wheel Alignment (Toe angle)

This is how I align my vehicles toe angle at no cost. I doubt that it is as accurate as a machine, but I haven't noticed any excessive tire wear using this method. All you need is four stands, kite string, a tape measure and tools, wrenches in my case, to adjust the tie rod. Once I perform a road test and make necessary fine-tune adjustments, my car tracks straight with a centered steering wheel.

Who Has The Best 4WD? What Is The Best 4WD Vehicle? What Is The Best AWD System? https://youtu.be/jm-_Ncjunuc Recommended Books & Car Products - http://amzn.to/2BrekJm EE Shirts! - http://bit.ly/2BHsiuo Subscribe for new videos every Wednesday! - https://goo.gl/VZstk7 Who makes the best 4WD system is certainly up for debate, but what is the best 4WD system? That question seems like it should have a realistic answer based on physics. The best 4WD system, in my opinion, is the system that gives you the least likelihood of getting stuck. In nerd-speak, it's able to put down the greatest percentage of available torque. So how do you put down the greatest amount of torque? Well that requires a clever 4WD system, that's able to change based on conditions. One such change vital for off-roading is the ability to lock up differentials. What's the difference between an open and a locked differential? An open differential allows for uneven wheel speeds, but always maintains equal torque. A locked differential does the opposite, locking wheel speed together, but allowing for unequal torque distribution. Torque is sent where grip allows for the torque to be sent. Check out the video for full details, as well as examples of vehicles which I would consider have the best 4WD systems. Do You Need an Alignment? -EricTheCarGuy

Do You Need an Alignment? -EricTheCarGuy

I had recently done a bunch of suspension work and put new tires on my Acura Vigor. Because of that, I decided to make this video about alignments. I get a lot of questions about when to align a vehicle, especially with my strut replacement videos. I hope this video address those questions. Remember, vibrations aren't normally caused by issues with your alignment. If your vehicle pulls to one side, or you have issues with tire wear, then you likely have an alignment issue. Also remember there can be no play in the suspension when doing an alignment. So if you have loose suspension parts, address those before you do an alignment. If your vehicle has been in a collision, no matter how minor, you might want to have your alignment checked. Lastly, if you're getting new tires, get an alignment to go with them. It's your best investment, might as well protect it. Thanks for watching!
