I am not a big fan of virtual assistants. I feel like while they are a great idea, they are way too limited in function right now. The functions also seem to never work right on the first try, and I usually find it a lot easier to manually do whatever I want to instead of having the virtual assistant handle it for me.
However, I can’t deny that they’ve been getting a lot better over past couple of years. I really didn’t think too much about virtual assistants and often forget that they even exist. This was until Samsung came out with their own virtual assistant last year called Bixby. Up until that point there were only two main virtual assistants on smartphones, Google Assistant and Siri.
At this point I want to go on a long rant about why Bixby as a concept is pointless when we already have Google Assistant on the same phone, however I’ll save that for another video.
In this video I look at how these virtual assistants work, and which one does the best in terms of responses, speed, and speech-to-text voice detection. The results were basically exactly how I expected them to be.
Let me know what you think about Google Assistant, Bixby, and Siri. Do you use these virtual assistants on your phone? If so in what capacity, I would love to know! LET ME KNOW DOWN IN THE COMMENTS BELOW
