Elbphilharmonie NDR - Ludwig van Beethoven Sinfonie Nr 9 d Moll op 125, 4 Satz

* GRAND OPENING * For the official inauguration of the Elbphilharmonie the NDR Elbphilharmonie - Thomas Hengelbrock ODE AN DIE FREUDE O Freunde, nicht diese Töne! Sondern laßt uns angenehmere anstimmen und freudenvollere. Freude! Freude! Seid umschlungen, Millionen! Diesen Kuß der ganzen Welt! Brüder, überm Sternenzelt Muß ein lieber Vater wohnen. Ihr stürzt nieder, Millionen? Ahnest du den Schöpfer, Welt? Such' ihn überm Sternenzelt! Über Sternen muß er wohnen. Seid umschlungen, Millionen! Diesen Kuß der ganzen Welt! Brüder, überm Sternenzelt Muß ein lieber Vater wohnen. Seid umschlungen, Diesen Kuß der ganzen Welt! Freude, schöner Götterfunken Tochter aus Elysium, Freude, schöner Götterfunken, Götterfunken. (Friedrich Schiller) —————————————————————————————————— *ENGLISH ODE TO JOY Oh dear friends, not these themes that cloy! Rather let us all start singing something joyful and more swingy. Joy! Joy! Joy, oh what a godly sparking, daughter of Elysium, drunk with fire we're embarking, blissful, in your holy room Your spell's magic mends each other's ties our customs strictly breach, all the people will be brothers where your gentle wing shall reach He who's for his fortune grateful friend of a good friend to be, he who's found a wife that's faithful let their voice add to this glee Also he who calls but one soul somewhere in this world his own; let the rest who have got none yawl let them leave this throng alone Joy's what every creature's suckling out of nature's giving teat, all the good or bad are coupling following her rosy street She has given wine and kisses a friend to die for and to laud; joy to worms and to all species, to the cherubs facing God Blithely, as His suns are flying through the heavens' wond'rous plan, brothers run your course's span joyful heroes always trying Now you millions start embracing! The whole world in this one kiss! Brothers, past the starry abyss dwells a loving Father gazing Do you bow now all you millions? Do y'all sense Creator's eye? Seek beyond the starry sky! MITSUKO UCHIDA ~ Beethoven Piano Concerto # 3 / Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra HD audio video

MITSUKO UCHIDA ~ Beethoven Piano Concerto # 3 / Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra HD audio video

HD VIDEO AND AUDIO, Universally acclaimed pianist Mitsuko Uchida plays the Beethoven Piano Concerto # 3 in C minor with The Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra with Mariss Jansons conducting. Dame Mitsuko's interpretations of the works of Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, and Chopin,to name just a few has earned her numerous awards and honors . She has recorded all of Mozart's piano sonatas (a project that won the Gramophone Award), and concerti, the latter with the English Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Jeffrey Tate. Her recording of the Schoenberg Piano Concerto with Pierre Boulez won another Gramophone Award. Mitsuko Uchida plays her Beethoven with supreme lyricism and romanticism while still including a strong and invigorating style. As one can see, she has always been known for her most outgoing facial and emotional expression when performing. Though it is hard for me to believe, Ms.Uchida is approaching 62 years of age; although she does not look it. Who are the greatest Living Pianists? Beethoven - Symphony No. 9

Beethoven - Symphony No. 9 "Choral" - IV. Finale: "Ode to Joy"

The Symphony No. 9 in D minor: Choral, Op. 125, is the final complete symphony of Ludwig van Beethoven. Completed in 1824, the symphony is one of the best known works of the Western classical repertoire, and has been adapted for use as the European Anthem. It is considered by critics to be one of Beethoven's masterpieces] and one of the greatest musical compositions ever written. Beethoven started the work in 1818 and finished early in 1824. The symphony was the first example of a major composer using voices in a symphony (thus making it a choral symphony). The words are sung during the final movement by four vocal soloists and a chorus. They were taken from the "Ode to Joy", a poem written by Friedrich Schiller in 1785 and revised in 1803, with additions made by the composer.
